Adolescents with special educational needs (JUBB)
The project investigates the extent to which adolescents with a special need for support during the transition into vocational education and training receive assistance that meets their needs by providing them a variety of transitional options.
The aim of the project is to optimise transitional options in the canton of Zurich for adolescents who are unable to manage the direct transition from compulsory school to vocational education and training by themselves. The project intends to ensure that all adolescents can take advantage of a suitable transitional option that accords with their individual needs. Data from a survey of adolescents and interviews with adolescents and providers of transitional options serve as an empirical foundation for investigating the fit between different transitional options and the needs of adolescents. The results form the basis for the derivation of fields of action and recommendations.
