With its Strategy 2021-2026, the PHSG pursues the main objective of reacting to challenges that already exist for teacher education, as well as anticipating future developments. In doing so, the PHSG ensures the high quality of teacher education in the Canton of St.Gallen.
The PHSG is one of the nationally leading and internationally recognised universities in the field of teacher education. Its courses for prospective and working teachers and other educational experts are characterised by their combination of practice orientation and a science-based approach. In anticipation of future developments in education, it is an important actor of knowledge generation and of knowledge and competence transfer, thus contributing to the understanding, configuration and innovation of educational processes.
